Ristorante Pizzeria il Brigante
About This Spot
Ristorante Pizzeria il Brigante sits comfortably on Via Lunga, just a short stroll from the heart of Anzola dell'Emilia. From the moment you step inside, there’s an unmistakable warmth—an easygoing rhythm that invites you to slow down and enjoy the simple pleasure of sharing a meal. The atmosphere blends the charm of a neighborhood haunt with the vibrant hum of lively conversation, where locals and travelers alike feel instantly at home.
This is not a place for rush or formality. Instead, it’s about sinking into oversized portions of food crafted with care, where each plate feels like a generous invitation to connect. The kitchen has a knack for turning familiar Italian recipes into moments worth savoring: the dough stretches to make impossibly large pizzas topped with fresh, hearty ingredients while pasta dishes brim with comforting flavors that hint at tradition and the bustling life of Emilia’s culinary heritage.
What truly colors the experience here is the human touch. The staff’s warmth and openness—often sprinkled with friendly explanations about the menu—reflect a sense of pride and care that lingers long after the last bite. It’s this down-to-earth hospitality combined with a lively, unpretentious dining room that reveals why many find themselves returning, drawn as much by the spirited ambiance as by the food.
For those seeking a taste of Italy that doesn’t feel like a tourist stop but rather a genuine local discovery, il Brigante offers a blend of hearty flavors and heartfelt moments. Whether you’re settling in for a shared pizza or grabbing a takeaway to enjoy on the go, the experience holds a subtle yet lasting invitation: to slow down, savor richly, and make space for the simple joy of a good meal among good company.

Our family took us here as we were visiting Italy and the food did not disappoint! You get so much food for what you pay and it’s delicious.

Simply the best pizza I've ever had. In the 6 days I stayed in Emilia, I came here 3 times. Ever since I came back to the States, I could not stop thinking about this pizza. The people also know a good amount of English so don't be shy!

Two of us went for dinner on a Sunday. We weren’t sure it was open, but someone invited us in. The waitresses were a lot of fun, and were very helpful educating us Americans on the menu. As mentioned in other reviews, the portions are very large. We really enjoyed all of the food as well. Highly recommended!

The pizza was good but extremely large that it didn’t fit on the plate over all a nice restaurant, one of the best pizzas we ate. BUT on the menu there was a option for a plate of Ananas AND THEY DID NOT HAVE IT!!!! AND I WANTED A PLATE OF ANANAS FOR 4:00 euro (The Ananas was a joke I’m not serious)

Arrived Bologna late and was tired and hungry. This place was still open and was just the ticket. Friendly and quick. Decent value and tasty pizza takeaway. Seemed busy with the locals too.
